Open Settings:

Click the Start menu (Windows icon) in the bottom-left corner of your screen, then select Settings (gear icon).

Go to Default Apps:

In the Settings window, click Apps.

In the left sidebar, click Default apps.

Change the Web Browser:

Scroll down to the Web browser section.

You'll see your current default browser listed (e.g., Microsoft Edge).

Click on it, and a list of installed browsers will appear.

Select the browser you want to set as your default (e.g., Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, etc.).

Confirm the Change:

Once selected, your new default browser will be set. You can close the Settings window.

Open Settings:

Click the Start menu (Windows icon) in the taskbar, and then select Settings (gear icon).

Go to Default Apps:

In the left sidebar, select Apps.

Click on Default apps.

Set Default Browser:

Scroll down to find your preferred browser (e.g., Chrome or Firefox) in the list of apps.

Click on the browser, and you will see a list of file types that it can open (like
.html
,.htm
,http
,https
). -
For each of these file types and protocols, click the current default (e.g., Microsoft Edge) and change it to your preferred browser.

You can choose your browser from the list of available apps.

Confirm the Change:

Once you select the browser for each file type/protocol, close the Settings window.
